An exciting update from the Westchester LGBTQ+ History Project:
We now have an Amazon Wishlist! We are looking to obtain arts and reading materials to be used at library/classroom/community presentations and workshops, as well as some basic oral history recording equipment. So far, we have been able to make do with personally-owned and loaned equipment that we are extremely grateful to have been granted access to. But with several exciting outreach events lined up, we’ve realized it’s time we get our own supplies.
The way it works is simple: you make the Amazon purchase as you would any Amazon purchase, and it gets sent straight to a pickup location where we’ve obtained permission to receive packages (seeing as we do not have a brick and mortar location). Right now, it is listed on Amazon as a 100-day campaign, but this is subject to change. Those who donate will be acknowledged on the website — and hopefully in a larger capacity as well in the near future. More on that soon!
